Cribbing is a vice. They take hold ...Hi skippy mom<br />Cribbing is a vice. They take hold of something (for instance the hay crib in their stalls) bite down, arch their neck, pull and swallow air. It's the air mainly that does it. Horses can't burp or vomit, their only way to get the air out is to fart. It disrupts their digestion, and they get some sort of weird pleasure in it; maybe it's like someone who constantly cracks their knuckles. I always said I'd never buy a cribber, and here I went and raised one!
